These Trachycarpus Fortunei Palm Tree groups already planted into solid, hard-waring wooden planters are perfect for creating instant impact with no fuss.  Also known as the Chusan Palm or Windmill Palm, it is very attractive and one of the hardiest of all the palm trees, hardy in most places of the UK even in severe winters.
Easy to grow, it is tolerant of almost any soils, and adapts well to most situations. although it does prefer to be sheltered from strong winds to avoid frond damage. Beautiful fan-shaped fronds are arranged around the top of a single trunk which is covered in coarse fibrous material, giving it an exotic and tropical appearance. Branched flower heads appear from early summer.
The Trachycarpus Fortunei is a relatively inexpensive palm that is perfect for creating a tropical look in any garden.
