Plum Tree. Variety 'President'.
The 'President' is a very popular variety perfect for eating fresh, cooking with or making jam. It is a very vigorous variety of Plum Tree with an upright compact shape, easy to grow and a reliable producer of fruit. Masses of scented white blossom is produced in Springtime which is followed by the fruit ripening from mid to late September. The plums are very large, oval in shape with a bluish-purple coloured skin. The yellow flesh is firm, very rich and sweet and packed with delicious juice. The stone leaves the flesh easily, great if you are cooking with them and using a good amount at one time. The Variety 'President' does require a pollination partner to produce a large crop. Grows very well in a sunny sheltered location, great for coastal locations and hardy throughout the UK.
