Plum Tree.  Greengage Variety  'Reine Claude Verte'.

The 'Reine Claude Verte' is a very popular variety of greengage Plum Tree with an upright but compact crown, easy to grow and maintain whilst being a reliable producer of fruit. Scented white blossom is produced between March through to April followed by the medium sizes fruit ready for picking in September. The plum skin is a light green colour and the flesh is exceptionally sweet with a rich flavour with plenty of delicious juice, perfect to eat straight from the tree or made into preserves. The Variety 'Reine Claude Verte' is self fertile, meaning no other tree is needed to set the fruit. Grows very well in a sunny sheltered location, great for coastal locations and hardy throughout the UK.
