The Phyllostachys Bissetii is a very decorative and extremely hardy and tolerant bamboo. Thick green upright canes are densely clustered which arch gracefully perfect for creating a tough hedge, wind break or screen. Ideal also for specimen patio plants in decorative pots for a contemporary garden as this variety of bamboo retains it's fresh green colour even through winter. Can reach up to 5m in height but can easily be pruned. Can spread, although this can be restricted by using a non-perishable root barrier, which are readily available.
