Olive Trees. Lechin Variety.
These stunning Olive Trees are slightly different in form having a more slender trunk, but still topped with the most wonderful crowns of foliage. The Lechin variety of Olive Tree is one of the oldest, more 'rustic' in appearance and one of the toughest cultivars. It can tolerate temperatures down to -15 degrees, is very wind and drought resistant, whilst also tolerating poor quality soils. Perfect for patios or terraces left in their pots but equally as good used as screening in the garden. All our Trees are hand-picked by ourselves.
Olive Trees instantly brings a piece of the Mediterranean to your garden. They have been grown in the Mediterranean for centuries for oil and fruit production.
Perfect as an ornamental, evergreen tree, it can be left natural or pruned to keep it within it's space limits. If you would like fruit, a sunny spot is better.
Caring for an Olive Tree is easy, remember they are a fruit tree so they will need regular watering and feeding. Feed with a balanced fertilizer such as 'Olive Focus' once a fortnight from May to October to ensure your Olive Tree grows well in the UK.
