Musa Acuminata 'Dwarf Red'.

The Musa Acuminata 'Dwarf Red' also known as the Musa Acuminata 'Red Dacca' has an ultimate height of between 5-7ft tall. Fast growing, it has a redddish coloured stem and large exotic paddle shaped leaves, mid green in colour which create an instant impact. In the right conditions and when the plant is mature enough it can produce small edible bananas which have a reddish purple skin. The flesh inside can be softer and sweeter than ususal  bananas and a cream to light pink in colour when ripe. Easy to grow, just water and feed generously during the growing season. Frost tender it makes a great ornamental plant for containers in conservatories and bright rooms, bringing a piece of tropical inside. It can also tolerate being inside all year.
