Mangave 'Silver Fox'. Manfreda x Agave
The Mangave 'Silver Fox' is a relatively new and exciting cross between Manfreda 'Bloodspot and the Agave Gypsophila. One of the most striking Mangaves it is quite large with a wide and very symmetrical rosette of fleshy arching leaves. Their colour is exceptional, looking a frosty-grey, which is actually a thick white waxy coating which covers the surface. Light purple speckling can be seen underneath this coating but only when close up to the plant. The colours become more pronounced in full sun. Although the leaves are serrated, they are relatively rubbery and soft to the touch compared to the Agave.
Great for exotic gardens, it's bold silhouette making a wonderful architectural centrepiece. Perfect for urban and rock gardens and very low maintenance. This mangave can produce sparse offsets.
