Limequat Trees. Citrus x Floridana.

Citrus trees instantly bring a piece of the Mediterranean to your garden. Grown in a sunny, sheltered position they will produce crops of delicious sweet fruits even in the UK, with only basic maintenance.
The Limequat tree is a hybrid cross between a Key lime and Kumquat.  It produces small oval shaped green fruit turning a bright yellow when ripe. The edible thin is sweet with oil glands dotted over the surface and is intensely fragrant and the pulp is juicy and tangy in flavour. Rich in vitamins and minerals the fruit can be eaten raw or candied and the juice is excellent for flavouring cocktails, desserts, marinades and sauces .
Perfect as an ornamental tree too, compact in growth with mid green dense elongated foliage, beautifully scented white blossom and tasty fruit year after year. Can flower and fruit throughout all of the year if conditions are right. A very pretty tree, great for growing in containers on a patio, in a conservatory as well as your garden although it will need to be brought inside through winter.

This tree is self-fertile.
