Laburnum Anagyroides. Golden Chain Tree.

The Laburnum Anagyroides is one of the most spectacular and graceful trees, fast growing and extremely hardy. Slender at the start becomming spreading as it matures. Large cascading clusters of fragrant showy flowers up to 25cm long are a golden-yellow colour and appear in late May lasting into June with very pretty dark green pinnate leaves contrast beautifully against them. Silvery coloured dangling seed pods then develop.

This stunning ornamental tree can used as a specimen tree or be trained over archways and pergolas in courtyards and city gardens as they tolerate urban pollution well.  Be aware though, every part of the tree is toxic if ingested.

These plants are exceptional quality from specialist growers. Photos 1-2 shows the actual trees in stock now. Please Note: Heights stated include pot sizes. The tree is still tied up.
