Hardy Kiwi Vine. 'Issai' Variety.

The 'Kiwi Vine 'Issai'  is a very attractive and compact cultivar of Kiwi. A fast growing climber it has ovate shaped deep green leaves and produces large clusters of beautifully fragrant small cup shaped flowers in late Summer. These are followed by grape sized green-yellow coloured deliciously sweet tasting fruit, rich in vitamin C and antioxidants which can even be eaten without peeling as there are virtually hairless unlike the larger varieties of Kiwi.

Perfect as an alternative to conventional climbers, they are easy to grow and self fertile, so no pollination partner is necessary to produce fruit. Happy in containers if space is limited and great for growing on a trellis arch or pergola.

Grown in a sunny, sheltered position they will produce bountiful crops of delicious sweet fruits even in the UK.
Caring for your Kiwi Vine is easy, remember they are a fruit tree so they will need feeding. Feed with tomato feed every 2 weeks from a month after growth starts in spring, through the growing season until the Kiwi start to ripen.

These vines are exceptional quality from specialist growers. Photos 1-2 show some of the Kiwi Vines coming into stock from Spring 2024. Please note, the vines will be just coming back into leaf. Heights stated include pot sizes.
