The Fatsia Polycarpa 'Green Fingers' is a relativey new cultivar and an exotic looking evergreen shrub. Beautiful large palmate leaves have fine elegant 'fingers' and are a matt dark green in colour. Young branches and leaves are initially covered in delicate brown hairs becoming smooth as they mature. Through Autumn into Winter spherical clusters of small creamy-white flowers are produced followed by small purplish-black fruit in Spring.
Tolerant of coastal exposure, urban pollution and low light levels. Frost hardy down to around -5 degrees. This plant will recover well even if touched by freezing weather and is a great plant for bringing a tropical effect to a border or indeed as a stand alone specimen in a decorative pot also.

Growth Characteristics: Relatively new cultivar. Evergreen shrub. Matt mid-dark green finely lobed palmate leaves. Easy to care for. Delicate spherical flowers in Autumn-Winter follwerd by purple-black fruit in Spring.
Sunlight: Partial shade. Can tolerate full shade. Does not enjoy full sun.
Exposure: Shelter from wind. Can coastal positions and urban pollution.
Soil: Any soil. Happier on heavy rich soil.
Moisture: Water regularly through the growing season, less in winter.
Feeding: Feed once a month through summer with a liquid feed.
