Cyperus Papyrus.
The Cyperus Papyrus is a highly attractive clumping perennial plant which is more than happy to grow in boggy soils and shallow water. Tall dark green triangular stems are topped with a mass of thread-like shiny green leaves producing a large graceful 'umbrella'. Reaching a height of up to 2.5m this easy to grow aquatic plant certainly makes an architectural statement and adds a tropical touch.

The stems can be cut back in winter and rhizomes protected from frost or alternatively bring into a greenhouse, conservatory or bright room for interest in the home throughout the coldest months.
