Cordyline Australis 'Broadsword' Emerald Star.
The Cordyline Australis 'Broadsword' Emerald Star is a relatively new and exciting variety of Cordyline. Tall and usually single trunked, it has rosettes of long, sword shaped glossy vibrant green leaves, although these are shorter and wider in comparison with regular varieties. It's white flowers are beautifully fragrant. Salt and wind tolerant it is great for coastal positions. Cold hardy down to -5/-6 degrees and evergreen, it gives great architectural interest to your garden throughout the whole year. Great for growing in pots too as it only grows to around 1.5-2m and is also one of the easiest exotics to grow. It looks like a palm, but actually isn't.
