Citrus Meyeri'. Meyer Lemon Trees.
The variety Citrus 'Meyeri' is a hybrid lemon tree that has become very popular. A compact tree producing good sized quality yellow fruit usually more rounder in shape than the usual lemons with juice that is less acidic and sweeter. The skin is thin and a deep yellow colour having a slight orange blush when ripe, covered in oil glands dotted over the surface, it's deliciously fragrant. The pulp is a dark yellow with few seeds. Perfect as an ornamental tree too, glossy dark green foliage contrasts, with beautifully scented waxy white blossom, tinged at their base with purple when in bud. The 'Meyer' lemon flowers and fruits most of the year if conditions are right. New branches are thorny to protect new shoots but these become secondary branches as the tree matures.
A very pretty tree, great for growing in containers on a patio, in conservatories, a bright room as well as in your garden. This tree is self-fertile. All our Lemon Trees are handpicked by ourselves to ensure great quality.
