Butia Archerii. Dwarf Jelly Palm.
The Butia Archerii or Dwarf Jelly Palm is a very rare and beautiful small palm.

Strongly recurving slender silvery-green pinnate leaves gives this palm it a stunning, graceful look. Petioles are smooth and very short.

Very slow growing, the solitary trunk reaches only to around 1m in height on maturity.
This palm is almost extinct in it's natural habitat and relatively new to cultivation. It's hardiness is unknown for sure but is likely to show considerable cold resistance like the remainder of its genus. A great addition to any tropical garden, large or small.
