Alocasia 'Yucatan Princess'. Alocasia Sarawakensis.

The Alocasia 'Yucatan Princess' is a very unusual ornamental plant. Impressive large leaves have a rippled texture and can reach up to a foot in length. Sat on fine, elegant chocolate coloured stems they are a deep glossy grey green colour on top with a spectacularly contrasting metallic maroon-plum colour to their undersides.

This impressive foliage provides a wonderful backdrop to richly coloured flowers in any garden. Frost tender it is perfect for growing in containers and placing into a border through summer to give it a tropical look and then moving indoors through winter. Alternatively their spectacular foliage makes them a striking houseplant. In ideal conditions flowers may be produced.
