The Alocasia Amazonica is a very impressive tuberous clump forming perennial. Magnificent narrow arrow shaped leaves are deep green in colour with some being so dark they appear black. Contrasting silvery white veins and outlines along with the deeply scalloped edges give the leaves an eye catching exotic appearance. Flowers are rarely produced if they are kept as a houseplant but if they are, they are in the form of a green and white spathe. Frost tender it is perfect for growing in containers and placing into a border through summer to give it a tropical look and then moving indoors through winter. These specimens are exceptional quality.
