Agave Royal Spine.
The Agave Royal Spine is a very striking hybrid between the Agave Macrocantha x Victoriae-reginae. Small to medium sized this Agave has dense rosettes of narrow outwardly spreading dark green leaves with reddish-black edges, very uniform in shape. Evenly spaced they typically are smooth to the touch and have smooth margins, although a sharp terminal spine is still present, so probably better planting them away from walkways. Very slow growing.This Agave is highly tolerant of urban pollution and even thrives in inner city enviroments. Also perfect for exotic gardens, it's bold silhouette makes a wonderful architectural centrepiece.
