Agave Parrasana 'Sea Star'. Variegated Agave. 
The Agave Parrasana 'Sea Star' is a very showy agave, slow growing with a compact form. Attractive dense symmetrical rosettes are made up from wide and short overlapping smooth leaves,in a striking silver blue-green colour complete with a creamy white border on the lower two thirds. Each leaf carries a beautiful and unique imprinted patterns on their surfaces left by the marginal teeth of the following leaf.
Be mindful of where to plant, as each leaf also has a stout and sharp reddish coloured terminal spine which turns darker with age. 

Easy to grow it is great for exotic gardens and makes a wonderful and attractive architectural centrepiece. .

  • Latin Name: Agave Parrasana 'Sea Star'.

    Common Name:Cabbage Head Agave. Cabbage Head Century Plant.

    Native to: Northern Mexico.

    Hardiness: Hardy to around -9 degrees if kept dry in Winter and extremely drought tolerant.

    Growth: Succulent with rosettes of compact and overlapping  silver blue-green, fleshy leaves with creamy white margins on the bottom two thirds. Beautiful pronounced patterns on leaf surfaces. Teeth along their margins are variable in size and reddish coloured terminal spine. Easy to grow. 

    Sun: Full sun/tolerates partial shade.

    Exposure: Exposed/sheltered.

    Soil: Well drained, plenty of gravel.

    Moisture: Water in growing season. Dry in winter.
