The Agave Nickelsiae is a very striking Agave formerly known as Agave Ferdinandi-Regis. Small to medium sized this Agave has open rosettes of stout triangular shaped blue green leaves with dark reddish-brown edges, very uniform in shape. Attractive bud imprints are white in colour and usually triangular shaped. Leaves are evenly spaced, typically smooth to the touch with smooth margins, although a sharp terminal spine is still present, so probably better planting them away from walkways. Very slow growing.Perfect for exotic gardens, it's bold silhouette makes a wonderful architectural centrepiece.

Origin: Saltillo in North Weastern Mexico.
Hardiness: Hardy to -6 degrees and extremely drought tolerant.
Growth: Succulent with dense rosettes of blue green stout triangular shaped leaves, with a smooth surface and reddish-brown margins. White bud imprints. Very uniform and clean. Terminal spine is present
