The Spathiphyllum is more commonly know as the Peace Lily and is a very attractive house plant. Broad dark green glossy leaves are strongly veined and arch slightly giving a tropical feel to any room or office.
Long lasting large showy snow white funnel shaped flowering spathes with a creamy white coloured spadix are produced late spring and into summer. Over time the plant will produce offsets which can be left or split off. The Peace Lily is also known to improve air quality by removing many toxins from indoor air.
Easy to grow, they are a stunning addition to any interior space.

Hardiness: Houseplant.
Growth: Evergreen perennial plant. Large broad dark green glossy leaves are deeply veined. Long lasting showy funnel shaped pure white flowering spathes have a creamy white spadix. Easy to grow. Known as an air purifying plant. All parts may cause mild discomfort if ingested. Sap may be a skin irritant.
Sun: Medium light but can tolerate low light conditions well. Keep away from direct sunlight.
Exposure: Keep away from draughts.
Soil: Rich. Well drained soil.
Moisture: Water when soil is dry. Likes humidity so can mist leaves or place on a tray of wey pebbles.
Feeding: Feed half strength balanced fertilizer every month during the growing season.
