Lagerstroemia Indica 'Durant Red'.
The Lagerstroemia Indica is a deciduous tree or shrub producing masses of vibrantly coloured flowers. The flowers of the 'Durant Red' are a very showy 'blood red' colour with slightly waxy petals produced in clusters at the ends of the branches from July until September. The leaves also have a reddish tinge when young but mature to a lush green through Summer before taking on yellow-orange tones in late Autumn. The branches are a smooth glossy light brownish-pink giving interest even through the winter months. Perfect for adding showstopping colour to gardens, in pots on a patio, courtyard, terrace or even a balcony.
