The Ficus Elastica 'Robusta', more commonly known as the Rubber Plant is native to India and Indonesia but in the UK is grown as a very stylish and modern looking houseplant. Broad and sturdy oval shaped leaves are glossy dark green in colour above and paler undersides .
One of the most effective plants for filtering and purifying air, this very 'trendy' plant is a great for providing a focal point in either office or home.
Easy to care for, liking bright indirect light but coping relatively well with lower light conditions and even withstanding a certain amount of neglect. May be placed outside during summer. Please be aware the sap can be an irritant.
