Echinopsis Trichocereus Pasacana Cacti. Pasacana Tree Cactus.
The Echinopsis Trichocereus Pasacana Cactus is a slow growing huge columnar variety of cacti. This giant evergreen succulent can reach heights of 10m and has a branching habit, although the stem does stay solitary for quite a long while until lateral branches are formed. Deep green in colour the stems have 20-30 deep ribs with brown areoles becoming large. The amount of spines are quite variable, numbers are un-equal, they can be flexible to ridgid, colour can be amber to yellow-brown and length, the longest being up to 30cm long but more often usually less than 10cm. In essence the overall appearance of this cacti is extremely variable and mature plants look alot different to it's early form.

Rose-white coloured flowers which have hairs on most parts and covered in a dark brown wool appear on the sides of the stems and are between 10-14cm  long opening in the evening and lasting anywhere from 18-40 hours. The dark green fruit is densely covered with hairs, is around 5cm long and edible.
