Cherry Tree. Variety 'Lapins'.

The 'Lapins' is a very popular variety of Cherry Tree, easy to grow  and a reliable producer of a good amount of fruit. Bearing fruit at an early age the cherries themselves are ready for picking around July time and is large, dark red in colour with firm juicy flesh and a delicious flavour. Unlike some other varieties this fruit is resistant to splitting in Summer. The Variety 'Lapins' is self fertile, meaning no other tree is needed to set the fruit. Grows very well in a sunny sheltered location, great for coastal locations and hardy throughout the UK. Has been given the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
