Butia Eriospatha
The Butia Eriospatha or Woolly Jelly Palm Tree is one of the hardiest feather palms, tolerating temperatures down to -12 or below. It is native to the cooler and wetter regions of Southern Brazil making it perfectly suitable for the UK climate.

Curving, grey-green pinnate leaves gives this palm it a stunning, graceful look which sit ontop of a stout single fibrous trunk.
Taking it's common name from the dense woolly covering over the flower spikes when they emerge, once established it is relatively fast growing.
