Bromeliad Billergia 'Halleluyah'. 

The Billergia 'Halleluyah' is one of the most popular bromeliads, a cross between 'Domingos Martins' and 'Ed McWilliams' it has stunning variegation. Upright in form reaching up to 30cm tall, it's narrow shiny lance shaped leaves are burgundy to brown in colour and well spotted with pink to cream, all arranged in arching rosettes to form a well in the centre into which water is collected and absorbed through modified cells at the base of the them. Flowering an occur at any time during the year, the inflorescense itself being very striking and un unusual colour combination of purple-blue, tea green and fusha pink. 

Perfect for bringing some colour to your house, patio, conservatory or greenhouse. Can be grown outside through summer and brought in through winter. Very low maintenance and easy to grow.

    Hardiness: Frost tender.

    Growth Characteristics: Upright symetrical rosette of shiny narrow leathery variegated lance shaped leaves, burgundy to brown in colour and well spotted with pink to cream. Flower stalk can emerge at any time through the year. Easy to look after.

    Sun: Full sun/partial shade.

    Exposure: Sheltered.

    Soil: Free draining gritty substrate. .

    Moisture: Distilled water or rain water. When watering ensure the middle well is filled as most of the water is absorbed through cells in the leaf bases. Don not over water the soil around the plant as this can cause the plant to rot.

    Feeing: Do not fertilize as high nutrients turn the plant green.
