The Blechnum Gibbum 'Silver Lady' Fern also known as the Dwarf Tree Fern is a delicate and elegant plant and a perfect addition to providing a tropical look for an area prone to shade for much of the day.
Slow growing, although it will develop a slender trunk as it matures with its stiff pinnate fronds gracefully arching to form an attractive symmetrical rosette, eventually reaching a height of between 3-4ft. These ferns also make a stunning pot plant.

Latin Name: Blechnum Gibbum 'Silver Lady'.
Common Name: Miniature Tree Fern. Dwarf Tree Fern. Silver Lady Tree Fern.
Origin: Fuji. Pacific Islands.
Hardiness: Frost tender. Needs winterb protection or bringing indoors.
Growth: Leathery pinnate green fronds grow up to 1m when mature. Will develop a trunk. New ferns will grow around the base. Mulch in winter. May suffer dieback in winter but usually new fronds will grow in spring out of the old trunk.
Sun: Full Shade/Partial shade.
Exposure: sheltered.
Soil: requires good drainage.
Moisture: Water regularly. Keep moist.
