Trachycarpus Takil.

Trachycarpus Takil is probably one of the cold hardiest palms in exsistence!
Quite rare in cultivation, it is a solitary fan palm with a rough thin trunk and a fibrous crown.
It has stiffer leaves than the Trachycarpus Fortunei with silver undersides becoming more visable as it grows and is wonderful to behold.
Easy to grow it prefers well drained soil and is fairly slow growing.
Do not confuse with the Trachycarpus Wagnerianus which has a much stiffer smaller leaf.
