Dypsis Soanieranae. Soanierana Palm.

The Dypsis Soanieranae Palm is a very rare collectors palm from the Northeast of Madagascar. Originally thought to be extinct but a few have been found in the wild. A very pretty palm tree it has finely pinnate leaves with the leaflets fairly evenly spaced growing from the rachis topping a solitary trunk. The inflorescence is unbranched.

Classed as vunerable in the wild, this ornamental palm is hard to come by and quite sought after.
